Claudia Morlan is a seasoned communications specialist with expertise in creating and implementing public relations campaigns for clients in the fields of urban planning, transportation, greenspace, destinations, live entertainment and more. Claudia joined Elmore Public Relations in 2002 as an Account Manager, and currently serves as an Account Director and strategist for the Houston Parks Board, Brookfield Properties, Urban Land Institute Houston, and the Greater Houston Flood Mitigation Consortium.
Claudia’s experience includes collaboration with private, government, and non-profit entities on communications strategies for complex projects in various stages of development. She holds the trust of all clients, and excels in managing relationships with clients, strategic partners, stakeholders, and media with thoughtfulness and sensitivity to complicated issues.
She led the teams which developed strategic partnerships, established community relations, and generated national publicity for the construction and opening of Houston’s most ambitious park projects, including Discovery Green and Buffalo Bayou Park, for whom she earned multiple marketing and public relations industry awards including the Public Relations Society of America Houston’s Grand Excalibur Award. Claudia has served as trusted advisor on other notable accounts, including Harris County Flood Control District, Midway, and Kinder Institute for Urban Research among other clients.
Prior to joining Elmore PR, she served in media relations and marketing roles at Dynegy as well as in account service roles at Hill + Knowlton Strategies.
Claudia is a graduate of the University of Houston. She is a longtime volunteer for the Public Relations Society of America, a runner, and an admirer of public art and architecture in Houston, Denver, and any place she travels.
