Elizabeth Hurt has been an integral member of the Elmore PR team for nearly seven years. Today, she serves as a senior consultant, but she began her tenure at the firm in 2012 as an assistant account manager. She then rose to senior account manager and trusted member of the management team until 2015, when she began consulting following the birth of her son.
Elizabeth is a versatile pinch hitter providing top-notch writing for Elmore PR clients the Houston Parks Board and National Sleep Foundation as well as for Elmore PR’s business development and client management. She is responsible for highlighting Elmore PR’s successes through the drafting of its annual awards entries, including the PRSA Houston 2016 Gold Excalibur Award for the Buffalo Bayou Park grand opening celebration, the 2018 Gold Excalibur Award (B2B category) for DesignHive by Brookfield, and the 2017 Grand Excalibur/Best in Show Award for the opening of the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern.
During her full-time employment at Elmore PR, Elizabeth led the PR and marketing teams for Discovery Green, IKEA Houston, Del Papa Distributing and Writers in the Schools, and supported the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, and Downtown District teams. Skilled at seeing both the big picture and all its moving parts simultaneously, her keen organization and team management abilities kept projects on-schedule and on-budget while earning clients notable press and audience engagement.
Elizabeth began her career as a junior publicist at Allied Integrated Marketing, a global entertainment PR agency. There, she managed and executed more than 50 regional marketing and publicity campaigns for major motion picture studios including 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate and Disney.
Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from New York University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture and Communication. She credits her semester spent in Ghana, West Africa as being influential in shaping her empathetic ear and love of traveling and reading. When she is not supporting Elmore PR, Elizabeth joyfully spends her days chasing around her two children.
