Here at Elmore PR, we love a good reason to celebrate, and we think employee anniversaries are milestones worth toasting to!
June 2019 marks Abby Linney’s one-year anniversary at Elmore PR! To celebrate, Abby sat down to talk about some of her favorite moments from the past year and what she’s looking forward to in the years to come.
Once arriving at Elmore, Abby took on the role of Account Manager leading several different teams. Abby currently works with Houston Parks Board, Houston Grand Opera, the Kidney Cancer Association, and the Kinder Foundation.
Ranging from the greenspace sector to arts and healthcare, Abby’s clients cover a wide range of subjects offering her the opportunity to learn a vast array of skill sets from each organization.
“I’ve really enjoyed Houston Grand Opera because I have the opportunity to work with arts writers, reviewers and critics,” Abby said. “I have always enjoyed the arts, so it is a fun subject matter for me.”
Conversely, Abby’s experience with Houston Parks Board has allowed her to learn more about how non-profits can collaborate with other organizations in the public sector, especially as they build towards the completion of Bayou Greenways 2020.
“We’re starting to get into the final 18 months of the project which is an exciting time. Working on the account has taught me a lot about how non-profit projects can work in close collaboration with other organizations as well as with the City of Houston,” Abby said. “I am constantly learning new things and am really looking forward to seeing what 2020 has in store for Houston Parks Board.”
Entering her second year at Elmore PR, Abby said her goals for the remainder of 2019 are to carry out Houston Parks Board’s Bayou Greenways 2020 initiative with a national media placement, continue honing her media relations skills, have a successful second season with Houston Grand Opera and, said with a chuckle, “survive!”
