Lisa Raterman has been a valued member of the Elmore team since March 2017. As a senior communications specialist with a versatile skillset in marketing and public relations, she balances strategy and creativity for clients including Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market, Thermal Energy Corporation (TECO), Habitat for Humanity Houston, the Houston Studio of Perkins&Will, and Kinder Foundation.
Lisa is a careful listener and dedicated planner who is able to anticipate clients’ needs and assess the big picture. She is adept at telling an organization’s story and enjoys working with clients to introduce new projects to media and the public. Over the years, she has helped announce the creation and mission of the Jung Center’s Mind, Body, Spirit Institute, the completion of Valencia Group’s boutique hotel—The George in College Station—and managed the Kidney Cancer Association’s social media efforts. More recently, she was involved in extensive media relations surrounding Houston Ballet’s first Nutcracker Market Spring in April 2019 and the first Virtual Nutcracker Market in November 2020.
Lisa’s eagle-eyed attention to detail is an asset to our clients. She is able to assimilate complex issues and promote them clearly to stakeholders. Prior to joining the Elmore team, Lisa was a part-time facilitator for the St. Louis Zoo coordinating private and corporate special events, a promotions coordinator for INTRAV/Clipper Cruise Line, and a communications specialist for PR and marketing firm Synergy Group.
Lisa is a graduate of Webster University in St. Louis. A native Missourian, Lisa found her way to Houston in 2017 following two years in Chicago and a year living in Costa Rica. She has learned a lot about Houston through the incredible work of her clients. In her free time, she enjoys getting out into nature by camping and hiking with her husband, two children, and three dogs.
