Jennie Roberts returned to Elmore Public Relations in January 2017 as a Senior Account Manager after serving as an Account Manager from January 2003 through October 2008. In her current role as Vice President, Jennie actively participates in new and ongoing business development opportunities, and is responsible for managing the Elmore PR brand. In addition, she also supports client services for select clients, including the Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market and the Houston studio of Perkins&Will. Jennie is a seasoned PR professional with 20 years in PR, marketing, and communications, with both agency and corporate experience.
Throughout her tenure at Elmore PR, Jennie has provided strategic marketing and media relations management and counsel to clients in a series of industries, including hospitality, non-profit, health care, government, entertainment, and education.
Notably, she has supported crisis communications efforts for United Way’s Hurricane Katrina and Rita response, secured editorial placements for Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo run in Houston, and project managed the production of Discovery Green’s inaugural programming guide following the park’s opening in 2008. For five years, Jennie also coordinated logistical details for Central Houston’s Annual Meetings.
Jennie has previously worked at Service Corporation International (SCI) where she successfully created and managed the national sponsorship for its major brand, the Dignity Memorial network, with the Donate Life Rose Parade Float, and oversaw the implementation of the Life Well Celebrated advertising campaign in the company’s major markets.
In the business environment, Jennie values authenticity in developing trust with her fellow employees and clients, which builds strong relationships.
Jennie is a graduate of Trinity University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In her career, she has earned a series of accolades, including a 2008 Silver Adrian Award for Accor NA/Motel 6’s Tom Bodett “Things I Don’t Need” podcast. When away from the office, she enjoys traveling the world and collects lapel pins from each new place she travels. Jennie also has a knack for dancing, specifically clogging, and enjoys sharing her talents through the classes she leads.
