COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Matthew Yoder joined Elmore as a communications specialist in March 2024. He supports strategic communication and media relations efforts for clients including Houston Grand Opera, Thermal Energy Corporation, The George and Barbara Bush Foundation, Literacy Now, Archaeology Now, and The Periwinkle Foundation.

Matthew brings experience working across multiple industries. Prior to joining Elmore, he completed two internships with a top Texas public relations firm. He worked with clients across energy, residential real estate, consumer packaged goods, non-profit organizations, and oil and gas services. These clients included global companies to startups, giving him insight into various communication strategies. At the firm, Matthew refined his communications skills by supporting communications plan development, conducting research, and monitoring social trends relevant to each industry. Additionally, he honed his leadership skills as president of a local Toastmasters International Speaking Club.

Matthew received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Houston – Downtown, graduating with Cum Laude Honors. Born and raised in Houston, Matthew enjoys spending his free time traveling, exploring Houston, and attending concerts.
