Mireya Reyna joined Elmore as a communications strategist in October 2021. She supports various clients, including Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market, and Literacy Now by elevating their communications campaigns and media relations initiatives.
With more than six years of experience, Mireya is well-versed in media relations, marketing, and event communications as well as content creation in the nonprofit, performing arts, and financial services industries. As a bilingual professional, she fosters thoughtful connections when reaching new audiences among Hispanic-focused outlets and journalists.
In 2017, Mireya began her almost five-year tenure at the Grammy Award-winning Houston Symphony, where she held multiple roles: intern, public relations coordinator, and publicist. She led the publicity efforts for the Houston Symphony’s world premiere orchestral program, “The Music of Selena,” connecting the event with a diverse audience of millions. After leaving the Symphony, she joined the Corporate Communications team at Amegy Bank, and worked to generate awareness of the Bank and its leadership’s accomplishments. She served as the primary media contact across Amegy’s footprint in Texas.
Mireya earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising from Sam Houston State University. She was involved in Sam Houston’s PRSSA Chapter and Priority One, a student-run public relations firm on campus, working with local nonprofits and school departments. Outside the office, Mireya enjoys listening to live music, eating barbeque around Texas, balancing nature documentaries with reality TV, traveling, and staying active, whether indoor cycling at RYDE or hiking.
