COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST

Murphie joined Elmore as an assistant account manager in July 2019. In her current role as communications strategist, Murphie utilizes her communications expertise and team management skills to support her clients including Communities In Schools of Houston, Literacy Now, Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market, Brookfield Properties, and Harris County Flood Control District.

Murphie’s strong verbal and written communications skills, coupled with her meticulous eye for detail and ability to manage an array of tasks with ease, make her an asset to Elmore.

Murphie holds a wealth of traditional and digital media relations experience from her prior work with the financial services, technology, and professional services industries. Notably, she led the PR and social media team responsible for local and national publicity around 2019 SXSW Pitch, a showcase of innovative new technology to a panel of industry experts, high-profile media professionals, venture capital investors, and angel investors.

While earning her undergraduate degree at St. Edward’s University, Murphie served as the president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). As a recent transplant from Austin, Murphie spends her free time exploring the many restaurants, parks, and uniquely “Houston” experiences our city has to offer.
