Highlighting Houston’s Literacy Crisis: Houston Reads Day

Literacy Now, the only Houston non-profit providing high quality, individualized early reading intervention in schools at no cost to students, hosted the first-ever Houston Reads Day on March 2, 2021. Houston Reads Day was created to bring awareness to our city’s literacy crisis, encourage Houstonians to read to students, and support Literacy Now’s expansion.
In late 2020, Literacy Now tapped Elmore to develop and execute a strategic communications plan to promote Houston Reads Day, and by extension, the organization itself to potential volunteers, donors, and the general public.
